Home Buying Guide For Newbies

Home Buying Guide For Newbies Buying a property is one of the biggest investments that any individual can make. However, in order to make sure that you choose the right real estate, it is important to proceed with the buying process carefully. If you wish to purchase the home of your dreams, then instead of jumping to conclusions, spend a decent amount of time doing a lot of research work. Seeking the assistance of a real estate agent can be useful, but the industry has also got amateurs who can misguide you. Always proceed keeping in mind your limitations and requirements.

The property market is flooded with homes offered at different prices. You ought to analyse your needs meticulously before making a final decision. If you need more suggestions, then follow the undermentioned tips –

1. Set a budget
Since you are going to make an expensive one-time-investment, it is always advisable to set a budget before proceeding with the task of purchasing. If required, you can also apply for a house loan from any authorised financial sector in Geraldton. Make sure not to set an overrated budget because it can turn out to be troublesome for you in future.

2. Know your needs
Do you have a joint or nuclear family? Asking yourself this question is important because a joint family will need a lot more space for comfortable accommodation compared to a nuclear family. So, it is better to opt for a suitable house keeping in mind the number of people you have in your family. You would find different floor plans to choose from. While some would have 4 bedroom home designs, others can be of 3 bedroom house designs. After determining your needs, choose an option accordingly.

3. See the interior
Make sure the interior part of the house has been built and set up according to your preference. For instance, if you are looking for a south-east facing bedroom, then while checking out the houses, make sure to inspect every aspect of the rooms in detail.

4. See the exterior
It is always advisable to first check the interior of a property and then the exterior. This is important because if you find the outer space of the house maintained neatly, it would help you in making a more informed decision. Never choose to purchase a house having an unclean or ill maintained outdoor space.

5. Check the electrical wiring
Electrical and cable wirings are a crucial aspect which must not be overlooked. You must check each and every wiring and fixture in detail. Electrical points are one of the most important things on which a property relies upon. Improper installation can cause harmful damages such as electrical shots, fires and so on.

Before moving ahead with the home buying process, don’t forget to check all the aforementioned tips.

Ways To Celebrate International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day!March 8 is International Women’s Day – the one day of the year to celebrate us for just being us! It’s the week of International Women’s Day and the ribbons reflect the purple, white and green worn by the suffragettes a hundred years ago as they fought – and died – for the right to vote. Ever since, they’ve been associated with international campaigns to end violence against women.

We’ve come a long way, even if we are yet to achieve gender equality. But how does the rest of the world’s women and girls fare? How can you support women to be their best, to follow their dreams, to be free from violence and thrive at home, work and school – here and overseas?

HERE ARE THE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY:

1. Tell the first woman you meet in the morning how wonderful she is and give her a big smile. We all need a bit of positive reinforcement to be our best!

2. Wear a purple ribbon. Purple has been associated with women power ever since the suffragette movement. Show the world that you believe in the power of women by wearing a purple ribbon this week!

3. Be kind to yourself and to others. Take a moment to reflect on acts of kindness you’ve experienced or offered up to others. Celebrate them.

4. Get informed. Take time to learn about women and girls in other parts of the world. What are their lives like? What can you do about inequality, poverty and injustice? It is International Women’s Day after all. Check out this video as a start.

5. Give your time to a cause you care about that promotes women and girls. You’ve heard it before, but you can be the change you want to see in the world. Maybe you want to volunteer locally. Or you can fundraise for an organisation supporting women and girls overseas. Read up on a few great ideas and host your own morning tea, movie night, fun run or special event!

6. If you’re short on time, you can always donate to a cause you care about. Your investment supports UN Women projects helping women and girls go to school, get a job or escape from violence.

7. Follow UN Women on Twitter and spread the word about gender equality to your family and friends.

8. Women’s rights are recognized and protected by national and international laws. Never let anyone treat you less than you deserve. Be a UN woman! Happy International Women’s Day!
