How To Load A Vehicle On A Car Hauler Trailer?

Load A Vehicle On A Car Hauler TrailerLoading a car onto a car hauler trailer can be disastrous if you don’t know the safety measures. It must be done carefully to ensure proper loading and prevent damage to the car.

Keep the handbrakes on

Always be aware that the handbrake of the towing vehicle is on, and the trailer is attached properly with the towing vehicle. This must be checked before you load or unload any of the cars to or from the trailer. If the trailer is not attached properly, then the towing balls can force the trailer to move or tip. And that can potentially damage the car while loading or unloading.

The Pattern Of Loading

While loading on a 4 car hauler trailer, for instance, make sure that the vehicle is straight. The engine must be facing forward while traveling. A greater portion of the weight must be kept in the front half of the trailer. It would prevent the trailer from swaying. Positioning the car is a big issue. If the car’s engine is faced toward the rear of the trailer, it may get damaged. This is because, the rear of a trailer can have a tail wagging effect on the car. This causes the car to get bumpy experience.

On the contrary, if the front half of the trailer is loaded heavily, then the rear of the towing vehicle receives a force on its suspension, which causes a knocking effect on the front wheels. Remember most of the weights should be loaded slightly ahead of the axle.

Strapping The Car

Use approved tie down straps that are made to withstand heavy load. The straps must be strong enough to prevent the car from moving. Before you choose the straps, you need to know the weight of the car.

Knowing About The Loaded Trailer

After all are set in place, determine whether all the cars have been loaded properly or not. If the steering wheel is very light, it means that the cars are positioned too far forward. On the contrary, if the loads are positioned on the too far towards the rear, the backward wheels may start to weave, once the trailer reaches a certain speed (based on the weight). If this is the case, pull over as soon as possible and re-position the cars.

All these helpful tips must be considered before you load a car onto a car hauler trailer.

Ways To Celebrate International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day!March 8 is International Women’s Day – the one day of the year to celebrate us for just being us! It’s the week of International Women’s Day and the ribbons reflect the purple, white and green worn by the suffragettes a hundred years ago as they fought – and died – for the right to vote. Ever since, they’ve been associated with international campaigns to end violence against women.

We’ve come a long way, even if we are yet to achieve gender equality. But how does the rest of the world’s women and girls fare? How can you support women to be their best, to follow their dreams, to be free from violence and thrive at home, work and school – here and overseas?

HERE ARE THE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY:

1. Tell the first woman you meet in the morning how wonderful she is and give her a big smile. We all need a bit of positive reinforcement to be our best!

2. Wear a purple ribbon. Purple has been associated with women power ever since the suffragette movement. Show the world that you believe in the power of women by wearing a purple ribbon this week!

3. Be kind to yourself and to others. Take a moment to reflect on acts of kindness you’ve experienced or offered up to others. Celebrate them.

4. Get informed. Take time to learn about women and girls in other parts of the world. What are their lives like? What can you do about inequality, poverty and injustice? It is International Women’s Day after all. Check out this video as a start.

5. Give your time to a cause you care about that promotes women and girls. You’ve heard it before, but you can be the change you want to see in the world. Maybe you want to volunteer locally. Or you can fundraise for an organisation supporting women and girls overseas. Read up on a few great ideas and host your own morning tea, movie night, fun run or special event!

6. If you’re short on time, you can always donate to a cause you care about. Your investment supports UN Women projects helping women and girls go to school, get a job or escape from violence.

7. Follow UN Women on Twitter and spread the word about gender equality to your family and friends.

8. Women’s rights are recognized and protected by national and international laws. Never let anyone treat you less than you deserve. Be a UN woman! Happy International Women’s Day!
